Lier Chemical Co., Ltd. was established in 1993 and listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in July 2008. The company's headquarters is located in Mianyang City, Sichuan Province. It has seven production bases in Mianyang, Sichuan, Nantong, Jiangsu, Guang'an, Sichuan, Yueyang, Hunan, Hebi, Henan, Jingzhou, Hubei, and Jinshi, Hunan, with over 6,000 employees.

The company mainly engages in the research and development, production and sales of high-efficiency and safe pesticides. Its products cover three major series: herbicides, insecticides and fungicides, with over 30 original drugs, more than 100 formulation varieties and some chemical intermediates. The products are exported to over 30 countries and regions including the United States, Brazil, Argentina and Australia. It has established long-term and stable strategic cooperative relations with many top international agrochemical enterprises in the industry such as BASF and Corteva in the United States.
After years of development, the company has become a national high-tech enterprise and a key high-tech enterprise under the National Torch Program. It possesses a national recognized enterprise technology center, a Sichuan Provincial Engineering Research Center for Functional Heterocyclic Compounds, a Sichuan Provincial Engineering Laboratory for Heterocyclic Pesticides, and a Sichuan Provincial Academician (Expert) Workstation. It was also the first in China to establish a pesticide biological activity testing base, capable of simultaneously conducting new pesticide creation, small-scale trials, pilot-scale production, trial production, formulation development, and biological activity evaluation for various pesticide active ingredients and formulation products. With its strong technical strength, the company has become the second in the world after Dow Chemical to successfully master the integrated technology of catalytic chlorination of pyridine compounds and has successfully mastered the key technology for the synthesis of glufosinate-ammonium. It is a large-scale domestic producer of chlorinated pyridine herbicide active ingredients and glufosinate-ammonium active ingredients. Up to now, the company has obtained 75 national authorized invention patents.
